JISC-HEA Unified Events Calendar Project
This project exists to help organisations to publicise their events via a simple format called iCAL. This will help with publicity, the sharing of information amongst partners and will ease the transferal of event details straight into the computers, PDAs and electronic diaries of your community.
The site provides background information, a sucess story in a one page case study, a technical and non-technical guide to getting iCAL built into your web site and practical examples of how you can use the existing wealth of feeds already available in your sector into your web site and personal diary.
Feed by Example
Here 10 feeds have been brought together using a calendar service available from via a free Google account. Log in or create a new account, choose the feed(s) you're interested in then copy the generated web code anywhere in a website.
The iCAL format is supported in products made by: Microsoft™, Google™, Yahoo™, Apple™, Mozilla and many other organisations.
